DESCRIPTION: In 1969 Chairman Clarence Bamberger of the Beason Chapel Board turned over these records to Governor Rampton to become part of the State Archives. The actual chapel was built following World War II with money given by the Beasons to Salt Lake City in memory of their son, Ross Beason, a fighter pilot killed over Italy on 15 April 1944. The marble Meditation Chapel was built in Memory Grove park in Salt Lake City in 1948 . These records discuss that chapel and list World War II dead from Utah.
