ARRANGEMENT: Alphabetical by subject, thereunder by title.
DESCRIPTION: The State Planning Board gathered information regarding public education in Utah to determine problems in the educational system. The board was particularly concerned with finances and school expenditures. This series includes records concerning general education such as the meeting minutes for the Committee on Investigation of Fiscal Matters; a report on the schools' building programs; general school expenditures' and a report on state funded education. Also included are records concerning higher education: minutes from the Committee on Higher Education; a report on cooperative education; enrollments and expenditure data; financial records of institutions of higher education; and building plans for the University of Utah. Primary and secondary education records include: an annual report on emergency education; data on finance, enrollment, and expenditures; a report on school redistricting; and a study on the Utah youth problem.
