DESCRIPTION: Tracking trends in state and local government revenues and costs was an important part of state planning. The Planning Board completed studies of general property taxation which considered assessed valuations, tax collections, and property comparisons. Many of these studies helped the board and other agencies to form comprehensive statewide plans for property taxation. Besides the property tax studies, this series also includes sales tax reports; correspondence; laws; levies; national forest expenditures; real property survey; a statewide tax delinquency study and tax delinquency reports for Wasatch, Sanpete, Duchesne, and Tooele counties; and a WPA [Works Progress Administration] tax study.
