DESCRIPTION: This book records the activities of the rural Oak Creek School District in Millard County. It contains the teacher's actual lessons and student assignments. The book also includes the teacher's work plan, a register of studies, student attendance record, teacher's term report, school year disbursements, and financial reports. Prior to the creation of the Millard County School District, numerous small school districts existed within the boundaries of Millard County. Under an act approved by the Utah Territorial Legislature on February 18, 1876, county courts were to "divide their respective counties into school districts" (Compiled Laws of Utah, 1876," Title 12, Chapter 2).
