DESCRIPTION: This series contains correspondence directed to the Governor's office from constituents and assorted special interests. The correspondence in this series does not contain vital government information. The information present includes incoming constituent letters, phone call responses, in-person responses, letters of appreciation, congratulations, charity funds, parking assignments, acknowledgments, transmittal of inquiries, requests that were referred elsewhere for replies, miscellaneous memoranda, office organization, staffing, and internal communications. Correspondences in this series are differentiated from other correspondence in the Governor's office by the fact that they do not include an attached, signed copy of the Governor's response. If a referral was made by the Governor's office to another state agency, a copy of that agency's response is often attached. Business-related correspondence which provide unique information about agency functions, policies, procedures, or programs. These records document material discussions and decisions made regarding all agency interests, and may originate on paper, electronic mail, or other media. This correspondence is filed separately from program case files, and project files.
