DESCRIPTION: These records support the agency's function to coordinate the statewide emergency medical services communication systems, in particular to license and permit ambulance providers (Utah Code 26-8a-105 (2013)). Records contain fiscal reports which document revenues, expenses, and net income of all services offered by each company and which are submitted to the bureau in order to determine rate increases among ambulance companies. Utah Administrative Code R426-8-2(3) (2013) sets the maximum transportation rates and service charges for ambulance companies, while R426-8-2(1)(a) (2013) sets company income limits.
