TITLE: Public swimming pools inspection reports

DESCRIPTION: These are the results of inspections of swimming pools to enforce the minimum rules of sanitation necessary to protect the public health. This activity is authorized under UCA 26-15-2. The report includes the name of the pool; the location; the type of pool; the name of the manager; the address of the pool; and the results of the inspection of water supply, sewer system, construction material, depth markings, inlets and outlets, skimming devices, recirculation system, bather loader, filters, step ladders, decks and walkways, lighting ventilation, dressing rooms, toilets and showers, visitor and spectator areas, safety requirements, disinfectant equipment, pool water test, general appearance, and personnel; the inspector's remarks; and the name of the sanitarian.

Administrative Legal
A violation of the health code is a class B misdemeanor, which has a two year statute of limitations. However, if the violator has had another violations within the previous two years, the second violation becomes a class A misdemeanor. Therefore, a four year retention will be needed to ensure that the necessary information will be on hand to prosecute a violator of the code. UCA 26-23-6(1) and 76-1-302(1((a).
