APPRAISAL

Administrative

Although UCA title 54 addresses the requirements for intrastate carriers to receive certification from the Public Service Commission, it does not specify how long the record should be retained. Discussion with the staff indicates that there is no need to refer to the records more than ten years old. A six month retention in th office is recommended because one the final decision on the applications has been given, reference to the file is infrequent.
