DESCRIPTION: This series contains copies of House and Senate bills and resolutions as well as drafts, notes, and related correspondence from Governor Rampton's office. The Governor received copies of legislative bills in order to determine what his action on a bill would be. He also relayed copies of many of the bills to the Attorney General for an opinion on the constitutionality of the bill. Most of the correspondence is generated by the legislature, state agencies, the Attorney General's office, and the Governor's office; some constituent correspondence regarding certain bills is included in this series.
