TITLE: Deer Creek and Salt Lake aqueduct project files

DESCRIPTION: These records, acquired by the governor's office, document events surrounding the construction of Deer Creek Reservoir and the Salt Lake Aqueduct. These two projects and the Utah Lake project (diking the lake to decrease evaporation) are known as the Provo River Project. This series contains correspondence, reports, briefs and minutes. Reports on the projects' progress, engineering reports, lists of financial contributors, letters from individuals and companies exploring purchasing water, etc. can be found within these records.
