DESCRIPTION: This series contains a daily record of appointments that were scheduled with Governor Matheson. Appointments were kept to give order to Matheson's obligations. The Governor routinely met with representatives of various state agencies and other individuals; he frequently traveled to conferences to meet with other governors, and he often traveled to Washington, D.C., to meet with federal officials. Within each appointment book, each day is divided into half-hour blocks. Entries include information on whom the Governor was meeting, where, when, and the intended discussion topic for the meeting.
