TITLE: Limited Entry Permit Drawing Program files

DESCRIPTION: These records are created by the Division in order to facilitate the drawing of limited entry permits. Hunters apply for specific hunting permits which are limited by the Division. Random drawings are made with the use of this program in order to select individuals to receive the special hunting permits. The program is used 7 times per year and a backup copy is kept for security purposes. Information contains source code documentation from applications and program language. Information Technology Services backs-up these files.

This disposition is based on the administrative needs of the agency.¶¶An email request to close out the series was received on January 31, 2011. Shauna Crowther (records officer) wrote: "I need to close out series number 19238. These files are not created by the Division anymore."¶In response to a question from Glen Fairclough (records analyst) about when the division stopped creating the records (end date), Shauna wrote on February 1, 2011: "I checked with the supervisor over that group and they told me that the end date for those records would be 04/01/1996. That is when they signed the contract for an outside source to run the draw."
