DESCRIPTION: Copies of letters transmitting private individual's loan applications to the Federal Land Bank. Apparently during the Depression, rather than repossessing the land when individuals defaulted, the state was facilitating their application for a federally backed loan with which to retire their mortgage to the state. The applications are not included; just copies of the cover letters.
