DESCRIPTION: This series contains document cards arranged in case number order for companies incorporated to do business in the State of Utah and was created by the Secretary of State to facilitate access to the Incorporation Case Files. The series provides corporation name, corporation case file number, original filing date, amount of capital stock, where incorporated, principal place of business, amendments, and dissolution.

Because of the importance of incorporation information, which documents the organization and existence of companies, the Secretary of State was required by law [UCA section 16] to maintain incorporation case files and their corresponding indexes.
