DESCRIPTION: Leo Snow served various terms as Washington County surveyor as well as St. George City engineer and chairman of the Board of Education. His collection contains a wide variety of maps and blueprints relating to his work in Washington County. These include diagrams of irrigation projects, plat maps, city survey maps, a diagram of rock formation under the Virgin River, canyon diagrams, drawings of bridge and truss constructions, St. George contour maps, school district maps, Washington and Iron County boundary conflict maps, spillway and dam diagrams, irrigation system maps, a map of Dixie National Forest, sewer maps, and a map of proposed railroad connections in Southern Utah.
