DESCRIPTION: From 1910 to 1970 citizen representatives from all States and Territories were gathered at the call of the President of the United States for a White House Conference on Children and Youth. Preparatory to the 1960 Conference, Governors of the States, at the request of the President, appointed Committees to initiate local activities and prepare reports on matters bearing on the welfare of children in each State. This series contains materials gathered by the Utah Council on Children and Youth. It includes a State report, discussion guides, communications from the National Council, meeting agenda, meeting minutes, and committee reports.
