DESCRIPTION: This series includes two letters to Governor Clyde noting the 100th anniversary of the Pony Express. One letter is from the Postmaster General and the other is from President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Both letters include a Pony Express Official First Day Cover envelope and are postmarked from St. Joseph, Missouri. Any record, regardless of format, that is issued by a governmental entity for public distribution at the total or partial expense of that governmental entity.
