DESCRIPTION: This series documents local history grants awarded by the State Historic Preservation Office. Groups eligible for grants include local prehistory and history groups, certified local governments, towns, cities, counties, colleges and universities, and statewide heritage organizations. Grant funds are to be used to document, collect, preserve, exhibit, and interpret Utah prehistory and history. These files contain applications, contracts, project reports, studies, certificates, agreements, memoranda, correspondence, and other records relating to receipt, review, award, evaluation, status, and monitoring of grants. They also document the allocation of funds and project budgets.
