DESCRIPTION: Information in the Human Resource Enterprise(HRE) database is entered at the time of new hire and continues to accumulate actions regarding the individual's employment with the State of Utah. The information is used as a record to document new hire/rehires, training, employee evaluations, employee status, leave actions, medical documents, termination, assignments, salary changes, certificates, licenses, education, work schedule, retirement, leave accrual, benefits, security access, and employee information. Department of Human Resource Management Rule R477-2(6)(2017) states that: "Upon employee separation, DHRM shall retain electronic records for thirty years. Agency hard copy records shall be retained at the agency for a minimum of two years, and then transferred to the State Record Center to be retained according to the record retention schedule."
