DESCRIPTION: This series consists of records maintained by the Alayne Peterson, administrative assistant and policy analyst of Governor Leavitt. The documents include correspondence, reports, subject files and other records that enabled the staff to advise the Governor in setting policy and coordinating the executive branch. Alayne Peterson served on Governor Leavitt's staff first as administrative assistant (1993-1997) and then as policy analyst (1998-2001). These records represent material accumulated over the course of Ms. Peterson's tenure in both positions. A variety of topics and timely issues are represented in the series ranging from homeland security, economic development, education, and administrative initiatives. Notes and correspondence related to numerous political associations are included as an array of subject files. Records created by agency administration to document the research, creation and application of agency programs, policies and procedures. May include correspondence, policy and program case files, and executive files documenting leadership roles and decision making processes.
