TITLE: Mammography Quality Standards Act inspection records

DESCRIPTION: Records consist of Inspection Reports and related correspondence created as a result of a contract between the Division and the US Food and Drug Administration to inspect all mammography machines and equipment on an annual basis, as required by the Mammography Quality Standards Act regulations (see 42 U.S.C. Sec. 263b et seq.). Once inspections are complete, the data is uploaded to the national database. Records include the mammography facility name, address, type of equipment, operator credentials, inspection reports, and test results.
