DESCRIPTION: These records are the paper trail for all real and personal property which is sold by the sheriff's department. Records provide accountability for the final disposition of this property. The records include the final stage of the writ of execution and praecipe for property that comes into the county's possession and then goes on sale, including unclaimed property from the crime lab. Information can include property description and address, sheriff's certificate of sale, sheriff's return of service on either real or personal property, notice of sale to newspapers, sheriff's deeds, names of litigants, attorneys, case titles, judgment, dates and other information about the sale.
