This series contains rare historic photographs of the Bingham Copper Mine and the town of Bingham which was abandoned and subsumed by the mine in 1972 (donated to the Utah State Archives by Risk Management employee Karen Peterson). These photographs provide visual evidence of the history of Bingham and large-scale mining operations in 20th century Utah, and should be maintained and preserved by the Utah State Archives on this basis.
