DESCRIPTION: This series contains a register of prisoners for the Rich County jail. The register was kept by the sheriff's office to track prisoners committed to and released from the jail for a variety of offenses. It contains such information as the name, age, height, eye and hair color, complexion, and any unusual identifying features of the prisoner; the date committed and for what offense; the date the prisoners left the prison and whether their departure was an escape or a discharge; and any extra remarks.
