DESCRIPTION: The DIvision of Drinking Water acts as the administrative arm of the Utah Drinking Water Board and implements the rules they adopt. The Division regulates public drinking water systems, certifies water system operators and water utility personnel, monitors the effectiveness of water treatment plants, and carries out a number of other tasks in order to administer the Safe Drinking Water Act (Utah Code 19-4). Records in this series document the decision-making processes of executive officers as they create programs, policies, procedures, and budgets, and include all related research.
