DESCRIPTION: These records contain the core standards adopted by the Utah State Board of Education for instruction in Utah's public schools. Records document the subjects and principles approved for teaching in the k-12 school system. Schools are required to base their instruction on the principles approved by the State Board of Education in the core standards. These standards are periodically reviewed and revised with input from stakeholders. These standards contain the basic knowledge, skills, and competencies each student is expected to acquire as the student progresses towards graduation.
