DESCRIPTION: This series contains official bonds for elected and appointed officials in Grand County. Official bonds are typically taken out in the name of the elected or appointed official in the sum of around five hundred dollars to one thousand dollars. These bonds were made under the condition that the official would perform the duties of his position, the bond would be void, whereas if not, the city would be paid the money by the official. Each bond is signed by the official as well as a representative from the county.
