Built upon the Indian surveys conducted from 1982-1986, this exhibit featured contemporary examples of the traditional arts of Utah's native tribes, Goshute, Paiute, Navajo, Shoshone, Northern Ute and Ute Mountain Ute collected from around the State of Utah. Exhibit labels included extensive biographies of the artists and their portraits. Featured art forms included beadwork, quillwork, basketry, textiles, musical instruments, cradleboards, moccasins, regalia and buckskin. The exhibit was accompanied by a lecture series on Utah Tribes co-sponsored by the Utah Humanities Council.
