TITLE: Sheepherding Survey records

DESCRIPTION: Sheepherding has long been an important economic activity in Utah. This survey of Utah's sheep herding industry focused on the folklife of the shepherds. Interviews were with English-speaking and Spanish-speaking shepherds in both high mountain and lowland desert locations. The sheep wagons or sheep camps they live in, sheep camp furnishings and their handicrafts were documented. Laurie Rich was the primary fieldworker.
