DESCRIPTION: Attendance information of some children receiving a child care subsidy is recorded in this system for auditing purposes. Child care providers can elect to use this state-provided system or opt for another electronic attendance tracking system that meets the same criteria. See Utah Code 35A-3-2-209: Award of child care subsidy services, and CCDF Federal Regulations: 45 CFR 98.90. Information includes daily attendance sign-in and sign-out times of children who receive subsidy. Administrative need remains as long as data is being requested by and provided to other government agencies, for the purposes of an ongoing investigation or legal matter, overpayments remain unpaid, or data is being used to identify statistical information and trends.

List of personal data included: first name, last name, middle name, job title, business email address, DWS case number.
Purpose personal data is collected, maintained, or used: Child care providers providing care for children receiving subsidy and parents/guardians need to be able to select the correct child to sign them in and out of their program daily. For audit purposes, DWS requires the name and role of the person who signs the child in and out.
Legal authority for collecting, keeping, or using personal data: Utah Code 35A-3-2-209 Award of child care subsidy services, and CCDF Federal Regulations: 45 CFR 98.90.
