TITLE: Care About Childcare user accounts

DESCRIPTION: Information is collected on individuals that create accounts in Care About Childcare to connect the account with their regulated employer; communicate opportunities; record and track professional development courses, credentials and degrees; register for professional development courses; and apply for scholarships and incentives. See Utah Code 35A-3-203 - Office of Child Care, and CCDF Federal Regulations: 45 CFR 98.90. Records contain contact information, DHHS-Office of Background Processing background check number (if applicable), demographic information, current/work history, professional development courses, credentials, degrees, scholarships, incentives and course registrations and attendance.
Business use remains as long as data is being requested by and provided to other government agencies; data is being used for the purposes of an ongoing investigation or legal matter; overpayments remain unpaid; or data is being used to identify statistical information and trends.
Privacy annotation:
List of personal data included: first name, last name, middle name, maiden name, date of birth, home address, personal email address, home telephone number, mobile phone number, gender, education history, race, ethnicity, languages spoken, photograph, employment status, job title, certifications, employment history.
Purpose personal data is collected, maintained, or used: Demographic data is collected on the youth and early childhood workforce for reporting and informational purposes. Contact information is used to reach out to users about opportunities available through Office of Child Care and its partners and information about courses they have registered for. Address is used to determine the region of the state the individual lives in to connect them with their local child care resource and referral agency. Employment status and background check # links the user's account to their employer. The registry houses work history and education history information to award points for the Child Care Quality System and scholarships and incentives to the individual.
