DESCRIPTION: These records demonstrate that permits to survey or excavate were issued when the applicant met established criteria, as mandated by Utah Code 9-8a-305 (2025) and Utah Administrative Rule R654-1 (2023). Records include permits and supporting documentation. Information is used to provide proof of training and experience; to provide proof of a curation agreement with an established provider; to remind a permit holder when their permit expires; and to verify a permit holder's status for requesting and accessing Utah State Historic Preservation Office protected records.
