TITLE: Wildland urban interface property assessments
DATES: 2026-
ARRANGEMENT: Database

DESCRIPTION: The Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands provides property wildfire risk assessments to land owners in the wildland urban interface. (Utah Code 65A-8-203 (2026)). These assessments track: 1) the wildfire risk to structures and the surrounding landscape, and 2) changes to the structures and landscape over time that affect that wildfire risk. These assessments produce: 1) a lot assessment report for the property owner that provides the details of the risk assessment results and suggested actions to reduce wildfire risk, and 2) a classification score assigned to the parcel ID. The lot assessment report may include personal data and will be solely viewable by the property owner and assessment staff. The classification score does not include personal data except for the parcel ID, provided by the county. Information gathered by these assessments are fully shared with the county where the parcel is located. Metadata from the assessments will be collected to show change over time of wildfire risk to structures in the Wildland Urban Interface. This series also includes anonymous metadata.
