DESCRIPTION: The Notice Books are variously labeled as Notice Books and Notice Registers. These books are maintained in chronological order and contain the following information relative to each case: case number, plaintiff, defendant, attorneys for plaintiff and defendant, and the type of action being filed in the case on a given date (i.e., demurrer to complaint, motion to dismiss, motion for new trial).

The purpose of the Notice Book is to record the actions relative to each case. Today, the Notice Book is no longer maintained by the clerks. It has been integrated into the scheduling process and is included in court calendar. The same information can be obtained from the Minute Books and Docket Books.
