DESCRIPTION: The agency provided state level coordination and planning with respect to possible community impacts of the MX program. In pursuit of this function, four main activities are documented: (1) organization of the office and the establishment of a direction in planning; (2) collection of information for the study and evaluation of the impact of missile deployment; (3) evaluation of the environmental impact statement and other technical studies; and (4) the coordination of the entire process with the Nevada office and with local governments and citizen groups.
