DESCRIPTION: Newspaper clippings of the obituaries of those who were mentioned as veterans. They were used to contact the next of kin for more information on military service to go into a database of veterans buried in Utah.

Microfilm duplicate: Retain in State Records Center for 10 years and then destroy.

This disposition is based on the use of these obituaries in compiling a deceased veterans database. They have no historical value separate from the newspapers, the veterans databases, or the "Veterans Buried in Utah" publications derived from this data and subsequent information sent in by contacted next of kin.
