ARRANGEMENT: Chronological, thereunder numerical by license number.

DESCRIPTION: These five volumes record vehicle licenses issued to taxi drivers; junk collector's; ice cream vendors; and various sizes of trucks. The first and second volumes are labeled "Poll Tax Registers" and "Second & Sixth Precinct" and "Third and Fourth Precinct" and cover the period from 1914 to 1918. Inside the volumes poll tax has been scribbled out and lines drawn and dates placed. The first volume contains the type of license, name, address, remarks, and amount collected. The second volume contains the name, address, plate number, and remarks. The other volumes cover the period from 1936 to 1938 and 1946 to 1948. They contain the year; type of vehicle; license number; and name address of owner.
