DESCRIPTION: This series contains correspondence, reports, publications, and meeting agenda and minutes from interstate conferences and commissions, all of which related to interstate and federal-state policies and cooperation. The organizations included in this series are the National Governors' Conference, Western Governors' Conference , Council of State Governments, Education Commission of the States, Federation of Rocky Mountain States, Four Corners Regional Commission, and the New Coalition. The correspondence includes materials from other governors as well as the organizations themselves. Governor Rampton was a member of each of these organizations and, at various times throughout his administrations, served as chairman of each conference and commission (with the exception of the New Coalition). These records were preserved by Governor Rampton and his staff.
