DESCRIPTION: This series contains a variety of administrative records related to the activity the MX Missile Policy Board. The MX Missile System was a proposed missile system to be deployed in Utah and Nevada. This series contains correspondence relating to the planning of the MX Missile System facilities in Utah and Nevada. These documents were used to influence policy, planning, and understanding of the proposed MX system. Documents in the series include correspondence from various agencies including the MX Missile Policy Board, the Air Force, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Department of Interior, the U.S. Department of Defense, and Governor Matheson. Also included are studies on the effects of the proposed MX system, general information on the MX system, legal cases involving MX planning, and policies on the MX system.
