DESCRIPTION: This series consists of microfilm of birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, divorces, abortions, etc. from the Health Department. Many of the microfilm rolls contain a combination of two record series. The records were filmed by the Office of Vital Records for the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) which used the records for compiling statistics.
