DESCRIPTION: These are the minutes from the Governor's Advisory Council, which became the Institutional Council ca._1981. The council discusses issues related to the school in cooperation with the Board of Education. They meet monthly. The purpose of the Advisory Council was to respond to the needs of parents, students, and teachers in an advisory capacity. In addition, the Institutional Council is responsible for the management of property, funds, and education at the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind and has the power to change internal policies.
