DESCRIPTION: This bound volume documents the early school history. It was prepared by the School for the Deaf and published by George Q._Cannon & Sons Co._(1893). The volume includes illustrations of Frank Metcalf and the school building; a brief narrative history; lists of board of regents, officers of the university, executive committee members, officers and teachers (dates of service); and enrollment statistics from 1884 to 1893. The historical pamphlet is bound with the first few original volumes of the school newsletters, "The Eaglet" (1894-1899) volumes I, II, III, and IV and "The News" volume I, December 1898.
