DESCRIPTION: The vendor application is the source document that Purchasing uses to input information about vendors into the Automated Information Mailing System (AIMS) database. Each vendor submits an application and a fee. A qualified applicant's information is input into a master bidder file. Whenever an appropriate opportunity to bid exists, a qualified vendor list is generated by the database, and eligible vendors are notified.

Application information includes the vendor's name, mailing addresses, type of business, whether it is owned by a woman or minority, federal tax I.D. number, number of Utah employees, total number of employees, number of years in business, where incorporated, signatures of persons authorized to bid and make contracts, and commodities codes.
