DESCRIPTION: Authorization requests submitted and determinations issued pursuant

to UCA Sections 7-1-701, 7-5-4, and 7-22-102. Utah law prohibits a person or entity

from transacting business as a depository institution, trust company, or escrow company

by using an unauthorized name or restricted word in its advertising or business

registrations unless authorized to do so by the department. These files are the

documentation resulting from the regulation and approval of this process. The

information includes name and address of applicant, proposed name and address,

nature of proposed business organization, affiliated organizations, and department

approval with or without restrictions.
