TITLE: Bear River compact files

DESCRIPTION: These are files relating to the bureau's activities in the Bear River Compact between Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho. The compact was designed to remove the causes of the present and future controversy over the distribution and use of the waters of the Bear River; to provide for efficient use of water for multiple purposes; to permit additional development of the water resources of Bear River; and to accomplish an equitable apportionment of the waters of the Bear River among the compacting states. These files include reports, work plans, studies, contracts, maps, and other background material used for the planning, implementing, monitoring, and upgrading of the monitoring plan for the Bear River drainage system.
