DESCRIPTION: These are studies of local government entities in preparation to setting up personnel programs. They are used to appraise salary, title, and classification specifications (duties, educational requirements, and respective salary ranges) of local government employees. This series is similar to the classification studies performed on state agency positions. Another copy of this series is also maintained in a word processing format with the same information. These studies include work flow and work force analysis, training aids, performance appraisal instructions, policy procedures, job descriptions, master planning materials, and sometimes, employee names, current salaries, and recommendations made by the Division of Personnel Management.
