SERIES: 82151
TITLE: Basic laboratory survey evaluation files
DATES: 1984-1997.
ARRANGEMENT: Chronological

DESCRIPTION: This is a record of the test results returned from the Society of American Pathologist. Pre-packaged samples are sent to the laboratory. Test samples are done through the normal testing process. The results are noted and charted and sent to the American Pathologist for grading and evaluation. These results are compared with a national average for compliance. The laboratory must meet the required specifications in order to remain open. If test results are not in the acceptable range, then the test can be redone and resubmitted. If the laboratory is not operating per the required standards, they can be closed by the Utah State Department of Health. Additional clinical pathology services are provided by Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, and would normally include testing beyond the capabilities of the State Hospital.
