DESCRIPTION: This series consists of applications filed by individuals to request licensing as real estate and mortgage licensees. These applications include the licensee's name, address, social security number, and date of birth. Also included is the company name and address with the brokers name and license number, the licensee's test results, and an education certificate. The information is used to license an individual and track the company they will be affiliated with. From 1986 to 2006 these records were arranged alphabetically by name. They are now arranged chronologically by date.

A license can be revoked if the licensee falsifies any information on the application. Should this later be discovered, the signed application would be needed in a legal action. However, investigators do not go back more than five years in working their cases.
