DESCRIPTION: These are the applications submitted by individuals who wish to be licensed real estate agents or brokers to take the real estate examination. This is required by UCA 61-2-6. These applications include the applicant's name, address, social security number, school attended, references, and felony information.

Paper: Retain in Office for 1 year and then transfer to State Records Center. Retain in State Records Center for 14 years and then destroy.

According to the staff, this retention is needed in case the applicant makes a false claim on the application, which is grounds for revocation of the license under UCA 61-2-11.
