DESCRIPTION: This volume records the amount of agricultural production in Box Elder County in 1894. It contains name, number of acres under cultivation, number of acres irrigated, number of acres enclosed for pasture, number of acres and pounds production of wheat, oats, corn, barley, rye, lucerne, hay, potatoes, beets, fruit, vineyards and other products; number of gallons of wine, cider, vinegar, sorghum, butter, cheese, honey, dried apples, peaches, apricots, plums, pears, number of bee hives; number of pounds of wool shorn; number of "milch" cows, cattle, horses, mules, sheep, assess; goats, swine; improvements made; and number in family. It was used to compile data to be submitted to the territorial Bureau of Statistics for the agricultural census (see "Laws of Utah, 1892," Chapter XLVI).
